The Spiral -TYBRIN team is a premier provider of process-based systems and software engineering products and services. Through the Mission Planning Support Contract (MPSC), the Spiral-TYBRIN team provides mission planning training, expertise and technical support to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Foreign Military Sales community at over 150 locations world-wide. This includes maintaining the integrity of weapons' system certified Mission Planning Environment software, 24/7/365 technical telephone support, configuration management, maintenance on aircraft mission planning systems, technical publications, system security, and fielding Mission Planning hardware and software.
The qualified individual selected will:
• Serve as command subject matter expert for mission planning systems (MPS).
• Provide technical support, assistance, and maintain hardware/software configuration
• Under certain circumstances, deploy with assigned units as requested.
Experience Required:
- Understanding of mission planning concepts and aircraft performance factors is required; Intelligence specialist experience highly desired.
- Understanding of airspace, airports, airways, and navigation aids.
- Understanding of and ability to analyze/troubleshoot hardware, software, and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of networking hardware/software over classified and unclassified government networks.
- Understand mission planning system functions and external interfaces to include setup and teardown procedures.
Education, Training & Experience
Education Desired/Required:
- This position requires a Network+ certification within 6 months of hire.
- Must have 4 years experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related discipline.
- A Technical School Certificate related to computer systems or equivalent military training may be substituted in place of the degree requirement.
MUST BE US CITIZEN. Must have or have had a TS/SCI government clearance within the last 5 years and must be able to maintain the clearance for the duration of employment unless otherwise required by the customer
Physical Requirements
Must be medically and psychologically fit for deployment as defined in DoDI 3020.41, Enclosure 3.
Work Environment
Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner to get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
Must be able to work under supervision.
Must be able to travel frequently.
Must be willing to deploy under peacetime and armed hostility conditions in support of the U.S. Armed Forces theater of operations outside of the United States
Attendance
With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.
Must be able to shift work hours to support primary customer’s needs.
Other Essential Functions
Must meet eligibility requirements to obtain, secure, and maintain a TS/SCI government security clearance.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must pass drug testing.
