Oftentimes I see survey results that show the top 10 places for women to work, meaning that these companies are family friendly and allow employees to keep their families in the forefront while still being able to work. I'd like to nominate Spiral Solutions for this category. After college, I got a job working for the Government. I worked for about 10 years before I started having kids. Once I started having kids, I dropped to two-thirds time. However, the Squadron Commander would change every couple of years and sometimes the Squadron Commander would be supportive of my part-time position, and sometimes there would be a Squadron Commander that wasn't supportive of this. Finally, after seven years of part-time work, I was given a choice of coming back to work full-time or quitting. I quit and stayed home for a year. When I was contacted by Spiral, I had already given up my daycare slots and didn't want to keep office hours. No problem! I started working from home and have been doing just that for six years now. The management at Spiral Solutions recognizes that everyone has a different situation and they are willing to work with each employee to try and meet his or her needs. That is the best benefit that an employer can offer!"
